Kristin Steele

Hi, I’m Kristin Steele,

I began my yoga journey in college with an Iyengar yoga class. Although an intense and demanding practice it was Love at First Asana!

After graduating from Colorado College in 2003 I entered Corporate America and strove to climb the proverbial ladder; eventually working as a Business Development executive for over 10 years. I used yoga, meditation and running to keep me calm and fit in a high pressure and demanding environment.

My husband, Chris, and I were married in 2010 and welcomed our children, Owen and Vivian. In order to scale back my hours and dedicate more time to my family, I abandoned the daily grind and began working as an independent business

development consultant. I motivated organizations and individuals to grow their companies by guiding them to develop successful sales, marketing and business plans.

In 2018, I decided it was time to add something I truly loved to my repertoire. I joyfully completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training and eventually added my 300 hour certification along with Warrior Sculpt and HIIT training.  Additionally, I am actively engaged in research regarding the physical and metal benefits of yoga, fitness and a healthy lifestyle. 

1. What do you love most about yoga?

I love that yoga is an enjoyable way to challenge the body to grow mentally, physically and emotionally.
2. What is your life motto?
Live life on the edge, the view is beautiful!

3. What advice do you have for your yoga students?

Yoga truly is for everyone. You don't need to be flexible, thin, strong or calm to begin your practice. Seek joy in your practice by being kind to your body, take breaks and challenge yourself! We all have unique bodies, movements, aspirations and inspirations. When you can tap into your own internal guru your practice often begins to have a new, beautiful and more powerful meaning.
