Susan Fryman

I am blessed to live in Cincinnati, Ohio where Lilias Folan also lives. Lilias brought yoga to our living rooms in 1972 with her yoga programs on PBS television. One day many year ago, I was eating dinner near a studio where she practiced. I had no yoga practice at that time and I was even a smoker but I saw her sign and I felt a call throughout my entire body - I WANT TO DO THAT....

I took a few classes at a local High School as a part of their adult education classes and had a practice while following a VHS tape. About 15 years ago, I bought a Groupon to a local yoga studio and my real practice began.

I love to learn and would see information pop up at the studio where I practice about taking yoga teacher training. I would always say - I AM NOT GOOD ENOUGH. One day, the information popped up and it said - this will be the LAST yoga teacher training that we will hold in the United States. With encouragement from my dear friends, I signed up with no intent of EVER leading a class. But the universe had other ideas. As soon as I graduated from yoga teacher training, I was asked to lead classes as a substitute teacher for two of my teachers and also lead weekly class at a local running store. For the first time, I said YES before I could talk myself out of it.

I love to bring my style of yoga to the mat. I tell my students to listen to their bodies and find their yoga!

Yoga has indeed changed my life and I just love to share it with others.
