I am a proud Air Force veteran and certified trauma-informed yoga instructor.

I am trained in Iyengar and Hatha yoga modalities and I have attended 20 classes taught by a Warriors at Ease instructor.

Yoga is so important to me. As someone who was diagnosed with PTSD after my time in service, I realized I needed to find a way to heal my nervous system. I began practicing yoga in 2014 and I noticed that I felt so much better after I was done. I wanted to feel more of that, so I practiced frequently for about 15-30 minutes at time. In 2019, I committed to completing my 200 HR yoga certification in Iyengar yoga at Practice Yoga in Austin, TX. I  solidified the foundation that was set by my daily practice and was able to deepen my knowledge to help others. About 6 months later, I decided to earn my 25 HR trauma-informed yoga certification from the Trauma Conscious Yoga Method Institute. It really helped me to be mindful of language and experience in yoga classes where students may have experienced trauma. I was able to develop a skill that I can use in any yoga class setting.
