Laurie Anand / Yoga Instructor
Laurie Anand has been practicing yoga for over 25 years. As an innovative and responsive practitioner, Laurie has over 500 hours of extensive yoga certifications and training from Siddhi Yoga (200hr in 2021), and most recently from her travels overseas to the Bali Yoga School (300hr in 2024).
Laurie holds a Master’s of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, as well as certifications in Life Coaching and Hypnosis. Integratively, she draws from her diverse background to provide a unique, holistic approach to wellness of the body, mind and spirit.
Originally from Canada, this grounded and practical Capricorn, teaches with a style that is warm and inclusive. Her classes cultivate a growth mindset and inspire learning through themes, quotes and meditation. She enjoys creatively sequencing to thoughtfully crafted playlists where students are encouraged to explore their practice; connecting deeper with their breath and inner awareness. She believes Jigar Gor perhaps said it best when he quoted, “Yoga is not about touching your toes, it’s about what you learn on the way down.”
Laurie enjoys “travel hacking”, taking long, brisk walks and connecting with other like-minded individuals who share a passion for yoga, wellness, and personal growth.
