I am a wife and mother of two young adult children. Our whole family stays active with hiking, biking and swimming. My husband is a biker and runner, my son enjoys tennis and soccer, and my daughter's love is with roller derby. I have participated in sports all of my life -- softball, swimming and volleyball are where I concentrated most of my time throughout high school, college, and several years after college. I have participated in aerobic classes since the mid-1980's. After having my second child, I got interested in teaching aerobics and became AFAA certified in Primary Group Instruction. Throughout the last twenty years I have taken many courses to stay current in my profession. I became Zumba certified in 2007 and STRONG by Zumba certified in 2017. I also have Yoga Instructor Training through AFAA. Most recently, I acquired TRX certification in 2020. I teach between 6 and 10 classes a week at various gyms and clubs and enjoy guest teaching at charity events.
