Liat Chobadi

“Strength is not just about how much weight you can lift, but also how deeply you can connect with yourself.”
- Liat Chobadi

Early Life

Liat Choabdi grew up in a small village in Israel, where life flowed at the rhythm of nature. From a young age, Liat was always intrigued by the intricate dance of the world around her.  A curious child, Liat would often connect with the wildlife and open fields unknowingly laying the foundation for her future life as a yoga teacher.

The Intersection of Dance and Yoga

During her teenage years, Liat discovered a passion for dance. The dance floor became her sanctuary, a space where she expressed herself freely and tapped into the profound connection between movement and emotion. But as she swayed and twirled, Liat began to recognize the inherent balance in dance, a balance she later found mirrored in yoga.

After earning her bachelor's degree in biology at Tel Aviv University, Liat stumbled upon a yoga class. The harmony of strength and flexibility, the union of breath and movement resonated deeply with her dance background. Yoga, for Liat, felt like a dance of the soul.

Journey to the East & Beyond

Seeking to deepen her connection to this ancient practice, Liat traveled to Thailand, immersing herself in the rich traditions and teachings of yoga. Under the guidance of experienced yogis, she learned the art of uniting physical strength with spiritual depth

After her transformative journey in the East, she moved to California, where she continued to explore the practices of yoga and meditation. The sunny state's rich yoga community offered her fresh perspectives and the opportunity to refine her practice at the Zen Center

Liat’s New Chapter: Teaching & Enlightening in Austin

Infused with knowledge and passion, Liat based herself in Austin, Texas, became a teacher, and founded the 'Strength & Soul Yoga Studio'. Her classes are a unique blend, intertwining the dynamic movement of dance with the grounding principles of yoga. She teaches the true essence of yoga – the dance between strength and flexibility, effort and surrender, and most importantly, the connection between the mind and body.
