Belinda Todd – Yoga Instructor Resume

During the 1970s, I lived in Atlanta and worked for a major airline. My life was not particularly stressful, but it was a fast-paced lifestyle. I discovered yoga, and I felt I had found the elixir of life. Yoga calmed my mind, centered me, and gave me inner peace.  I was hooked after my first yoga class.

In the mid-1980s I lived in Los Angeles and practiced sporadically with different yoga instructors. It did not matter who the teacher was, the result of each class was joy and contentment even when the class was challenging. Life eventually brought me back to my home in Virginia.  I was introduced to Nora Pozzi, Director of the Integral Yoga Center of Richmond, and under her mentorship deepened my yoga practice. In 2016, I completed the Integral Yoga Training, earning a 200-hour teacher certification.

I am a lifelong learner, always tasting more and more of life. Yoga has opened my mind and my heart to new experiences. Yoga is more than physical postures. It is the union of mind, body, and soul that incorporates breath, meditation, and mindfulness.

My desire is to demystify yoga and to bring the yoga experience of more peace, better health, and increased vitality to women of all ages and body types.

At present I teach at two locations in Petersburg, Virginia. I am also teaching chair yoga classes for AARP Virginia. Check out the classes on AARP Virginia Facebook Live the 2nd Thursdays of the month. Here is the website info:
