With a keen interest in athletics, the human body and rehabilitation, Michelle completed a degree in kinesiology & health sciences in 2005. Having taken multiple classes over the years, yoga finally made its imprint whilst living abroad in 2011.
And so began her dedication to self exploration and daily practice.
With a desire to deepen this passion, she completed her first YTT in Toronto in 2017. Fascinated and enamoured by the ancient yogic teachings and philosophies, her daily practice evolved and in 2020, she completed her second YTT online, via Rishikesh, India. Today Michelle’s personal practice and teaching style, honour the ancient vedic philosophies, our energy systems and the inter connectedness of thoughts and action. Within Michelle's classes you can experience a sweet blend of yin, hatha, vinyasa, kundalini and restorative traditions. With a focus on cultivating a deeper awareness and relationship with the self, the practical application of the tools we develop on our mats, Michelle’s classes encourage the curiosity to delve deeper into understanding the connectivity of mind, body and soul.
Michelle dreams of taking her next YTT in India or Bali in the coming years. A student for life. As she continues to add more to her wealth of knowledge, her desire and need to share is expanding. With a deep love for travel and adventure, Michelle's next chapter includes opportunities which will fuel her 2 biggest passions- teaching and travelling.
