Hello, my name is Juanita. I have been teaching Zumba Fitness since 2008. I kinda stumbled upon it really. Prior to relocating to another state, I had always worked out. I took a variety of group fitness classes such as regular aerobics, step, hip hop and kickboxing. My favorite of those was kickboxing.
When we relocated I was looking for a Kickboxing class and could not find one. This is when I stumbled upon Zumba. I took one class and every since that moment, I fell hopelessly in love with it. A year later I was teaching my own classes. And my husband got a kick out of it too. For him, when asked where's your wife he would say oh she's somewhere shaking her booty. He always gets a chuckle out of that. Lol!
I love teaching fitness because I am able to help others get fit while having a good time. It puts my students in a good head-space and they are able to leave the class ready to tackle their day or end their day on a good note. My goal is to empower students to love fitness... one student at a time.
