Shaina Hayutin

Fitness has completely changed my life for the better. As a young adult, I discovered how living an active, balanced lifestyle can positively transform you as a human being in every capacity. I did not grow up viewing myself as an athlete. In fact, I had a hard time referring to myself as one. It took years of physical and mental practice to truly convince myself of my own faculties.

Helping others discover how they can move with purpose is my mission. I use fitness as the driving force to positively impact human beings inside and outside of the gym. Exercise is so much more than physical. Over the last few years I’ve simultaneously become a fan of stoicism, which has affirmed my passion for wellness. In 2020, I stumbled upon a quote that deeply resonates with me:

“We craft our spiritual strength through physical exercise, and our physical hardiness through mental practice; mens sana in corpore sano: sound mind in a strong body.”

Fitness can foster an enormous sense of betterment in every aspect of your life. To be able to move our bodies is a gift. And to strive to move our bodies virtuously, is a craft. Coaching allows me to find outlets that work best for my clients and their ever-changing goals. Specifically, I specialize working with people who feel fitness is a foreign or estranged concept, as well as athletes looking to improve their gymnastics skills; simply moving your body through space more efficiently.

Over the last decade, I’ve had a handful of mentors, dozens of athletes and one incredibly united CrossFit community that have all contributed to my personal and professional growth. Without this support, I have no idea where I would be today. This is why my work matters. I want to be that positive force. I need to be that person, that coach, who helps guide humans to become healthier, happier versions of themselves. Coaching provides an enormous sense of fulfillment. I help others discover their athletic potential in order to feel more empowered and capable in their lives as a whole.
