As a teacher of Pilates, a Franklin Method educator and my experience in teaching meditation classes, I emphasize the integration of both the mind and the body and how one indeed impacts and has consequences on the other. Presence and embodiment are key ingredients for creating change!
Born and raised in beautiful BC, Canada, I completed my first Pilates Instructor Training program in Australia in the early 1990’s, then trained comprehensively with Stott Pilates of Toronto in 2001, and have spent the last two decades training with various classical teacher trainers. My teaching practice is primarily influenced by classical Pilates and enhanced with modern adaptations from Stott and other methodologies.
My teaching practice is constantly evolving and growing as I continue to dive deeper into the most current research and study of human movement.
I am passionate about Pilates both because of what it’s done for my own body (my body truly feels better in my 50's than it did when I was in my 20’s) and more importantly, what is has done for all of the people I have seen heal, strengthen and find empowerment in doing things they never imagined possible!
I established and built Mindful Movement Pilates in Surrey, BC, Canada in 2008 and have trained everyone from professionals athletes to people with various physical disabilities. I also created the Mindful Movement comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training program in 2015
