I have always been involved in sports/fitness in some capacity; either as an athlete, participant or as a mentor. My choice for healthy living has translated into an every day approach. Being able to provide guidance and programming, to help others achieve their goals of living their healthiest life, is a passion that I want to share with as many people as possible. I feel my personality and training is best suited for the active older adults, the beginner and weight loss clients. Whether its One-on-One or small group training I treat my clients with the philosophy that "WE can turn Intentions into Actions ... One step at a time"
In January 2007 I taught my first fitness (Aqua) class and I have never looked back. Moving our bodies on a regular basis, it a vital part of our human condition. As I have moved into the later years of my life, I have began to move my personal movement practice to the world of Yoga. As a certified Yoga Therapist and Yoga instructor, I firmly believe that finding ways to calm our mind, slow down the body and the allow the breath to be "felt" is truly a deep way of achieving health to our complete physical package. Yoga can be experienced as a vigorous practice of Ashtanga/Flow Yoga to a calming practice of YIN or Restorative Yoga. All of the styles of practice in between has their benefits in ones healthy lifestyle. I have all styles of Yoga in my life, and I also do teach the styles listed.
