Bio on Michelle Mink
I am a certified Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer with ACE, YMCA and Can-Fit-Pro. I have been teaching fitness for almost 19 years now throughout my community. The majority of my teaching was through volunteering at our local YMCA for 12 years and presently I am teaching on my own renting space at a local Community Centre. Prior to this I taught at Elite Fitness as a Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer. I am on a leave of absence due to the fact my Father was ill with Cancer and has passed away.
I am certified to teach all kinds of classes from stretch and flex, Kickboxing, Step, Muscle Conditioning, Stability Ball Training, Water Fitness, Basic Yoga and Low Impact. My passion is to get people of all ages and sizes interested in fitness and living a healthy lifestyle. Over the last two years I have been fortunate enough to take my love of fitness to the Caribbean! There I have taught fitness classes both land and water at different resorts! An amazing experience indeed!
I am an accomplished rower and have my level 2 Coaching certificate in rowing. My greatest achievement has been competing in my first ever triathalon a few summers ago and finishing second in my age category. This was a very challenging and rewarding experience.
I am a motivational speaker at all the local community schools about Terry Fox. Over the last few years my passion for finding a cure for Cancer has taken me away being a motivational speaker as far away as Saskatchewan. I have also been a presenter in Toronto at our annual Terry Fox Organizer Workshops for the last few years speaking to a crowd of 250 organizers.
I present a team/type workshop called “SURVIVOR†to not only the school level but also to businesses wishing to work on Team effort and team goal philosophy. It has been very well received and requires mostly the mental/creative senses to be challenged rather then the physical sense.
It is great for team networking and a positive focus on the individual that has many hidden talents that even they aren’t aware of.
Sincerely,
Michelle Mink
