Stacey Cooper

Hi!

I'm Stacey!

Sucker for a sunset.

Love a sparkle.

Generally most happy in a field.

I found yoga (or yoga found me) in the early 2010's.

As a long distance runner, I knew a yoga practice would benefit my body, but I didn't expect it to have such a profound effect on my mind.

Yoga makes me feel like me.

It makes me laugh, it makes me cry, and quite honestly, I don't know where I'd be without it.

It helps me tune out the madness of the modern world.

It humbles in a way that we all need in these times of abundance.

And truthfully, I never thought I'd become a teacher.

Yoga is so special, there was a time I wanted to keep it to myself.

After practicing for 7 years, I was lucky enough to take a couple of months out of real life to complete my teacher training at Ananda Yoga Centre in Koh Pha Ngan, Thailand, with the highly respected Johnny Nasello.

Even in taking the training, I wasn't sure if I wanted to teach. I just wanted to deepen my practice...

But here we are... I'm a yoga teacher.

And what a flipping great choice I made.

My main goal as a teacher is to lead others down the long path of discovery that yoga has provided me.

Whether you want to move your body, find spiritual growth, be more present, or just want an hour to yourself - I know you’ll benefit from our practice together.

Whilst keeping true to the roots of a traditional yoga practice, I lead classes in a way I like to practice.

Heavily led by the breath. Focusing on what our bodies can do, not what they can't.

What? You can't touch your toes? No, me either. Does anyone you know actually care if you can touch your toes?

I am committed to each and every student, no matter their needs or skill level. And am proud of the dedicated following I have built.

I look forward to welcoming you to my yoga family.

See you on the mat!

(Or in a field covered in sparkles!)
