I have been a fitness instructor for the past 5 years, and fitness has been a part of my life since my teen years. I played volleyball and ran track, and have participated in a full range of group fitness classes, but Bootcamp and HIIT classes are what motivated me to become a fitness professional. I teach several classes a week while also working full time as an early childhood special education teacher. I am fluent in Spanish as well as English, and lived for several years in Latin America including 2 years with the Peace Corps. I live with my husband and 2 children in Portland, OR, and love the access to the outdoors that living in the Northwest provides. Hiking, backpacking, and stand up paddle boarding are a big part of my life as well. To my fitness classes, I bring a high level of energy and challenge, making sure to offer modifications for all fitness levels. I love the energy of group fitness, and I bring lots of positive energy to my classes. I have taught indoor and outdoor classes. I often incorporate a variety of equipment in my workouts, including kettlebells, dumbbells, bars, bands, balls, sliders, and steps. I have also led classes entirely with body weight moves. I bring energy, fun, and motivation to every group fitness class.
