Fitness is both my career and my passion. I have worked in the fitness industry as a Corporate Fitness Manager, Personal Trainer, Group Exercise Class Manager & Instructor, Life Coach, Running Coach, and Triathlon Coach.
I have a true affinity and talent in leading group exercise classes. I have trained well over 50 "newbies" (no experience in teaching classes) to lead fun, safe, and effective exercises classes in almost all genres. Recently, I have grown two fledgling indoor cycling classes from a weekly attendance of three to a whopping 30+.
As a personal trainer & fitness manager, I have helped hundreds of people achieve health and fitness goals. Not only do I conduct the one-on-one sessions for clients, but I have conducted health/fitness/nutrition seminars for groups up to 300+, designed motivational programs, written health newsletters & columns, and created/maintained wellness based websites.
I am an accomplished athlete, having competed in the Ironman Triathlon World Championships the past three years, and dozens of races where I typically place as a top female. I love running and have done over 20 marathons all over the US. I'm a huge believer in the benefits of strength training and thus incorporate it into my fitness program 2 - 3 times per week.
I'm comfortable in a variety of situations -- both one-one-one and group dynamic, various venues, & all fitness levels.
