I grew up in a small town in Michigan and graduated with honors. I've worked since 9th grade.
i graduated from the University of Michigan in 1990 with a degree in Mathematics and teaching. I earned a Master's degree from Eastern Michigan University in 1997. I waitressed for many years and put myself through college. I worked as a Realtor for a few years and then I taught high school math for 27 years and occasionally physics.
I started taking aerobics classes and was soon offered to teach them so I got certified in 1999 for group exercise. I taught aerobics and step aerobics. I then got certified for Pilates and yoga within a few years. I've been teaching all of those for nearly 20 years.
I started exploring several healing modalities for back and neck pain and came across Bowenwork. I then began training and I have been a healing practioner for the last 10 years. I recently certified to also teach Bowenwork. I no longer have back and neck pain.
I've been doing T'ai Chi and Qigong off and on for about a dozen years and I've been teaching it for the past 5 years. I recently retired from teaching high school math but I continue to tutor.
I have travelled to some of these resorts in Cancun and I loved the sites and the instructors and I was motivated to pursue teaching in resorts!
