Hi there! My name is Ann Newton, and I am a yoga teacher and wellness enthusiast. I discovered yoga over 20 years ago and was immediately drawn to its ability to calm my mind, strengthen my body, and become a conduit for cross training. I have since devoted my life to education and wellness.  I am passionate about sharing the transformative power of yoga with others.

 

Personally, yoga represents the harmonic convergence of strength, flexibility, exertion, and meditation. My classes represent a blend of both strength and mobility work in a dynamic, free following style. Expect to move, sweat, with intentional breathing while seeking inner peace and harmony. Ultimately my instructional goals will fold the physical, mental and spiritual transcendence of the mind and body for my students.

 

Outside of my yoga practice, I love to spend time cross training including hiking, jogging, rowing and strength training, in nature especially near the water and always while traveling. I hold a Master’s degree in counseling with a 200 Yoga Teacher Training Certification from My Vinyasa Practice.  I continually pursue training and educational opportunities to foster my growth as an instructor.
