I'm a Mental Wellness Program Coordinator and facilitator of mental wellness, art, fitness workshops at the YMCA and an Art, Mindfulness and Movement instructor in different venues and schools in Kamloops, BC , the city where I live and love in Canada. I work with people of all ages from the very lil ones to seniors and I love to respect and dignify each body's way to be and move!
I started dancing flamenco since I was a little kid and since then I noticed the impact dancing had on my mood and emotions. I was hooked! And I like everyone who joins my classes to get that same feeling of wellness I experience when I dance, move, paint and create. I have been working in the Mental Wellness and Arts industry for the last 10 years. I'm very enthusiastic at transmitting my love and passion for mindfulness, arts and dance with everyone I cross paths with. It is important to move and enjoy movement!
I have been trained in Zumba and Nia technique but I have my own modality learnt from many years of practicing styles that just feel right to our bodies. I like to plan my classes in accordance to the group's needs and wants and it's always a blast. I like to offer different varieties of intensity in the movements so you can follow in your own body's way.
I like to make the place where I create, dance or meditate with other people a sacred space of healing through mindfulness and movement.
I speak English and Spanish fluidly.
