Kelly Akins – Hot Vinyasa Flow & Wellness Yoga Instructor (RYT 200)

Creator of KJA Yoga Flow | Practicing since 2014

I guide yoga classes designed to connect mind + body + breath, drawing from over a decade of personal practice and experience teaching in studio and fitness settings. I approach yoga as both a teacher and a lifelong student of the practice, allowing my teaching to stay grounded, curious, and evolving.

I love yoga not just for the calm it brings, but also for the strength it builds—from the inside out. My primary focus is hot vinyasa flow, where breath-led movement and thoughtful sequencing invite students to move with intention, build strength, and create space within. These classes are energizing and empowering, while remaining accessible through clear cueing and mindful transitions.

Alongside vinyasa, I also teach yin-inspired and restorative-style practices, offering students the opportunity to slow down, find stillness, and release tension through longer-held poses and mindful awareness. This balance between yang movement and yin stillness is central to how I teach, supporting both effort and ease on and off the mat.

Breath naturally weaves through all of my classes. I regularly incorporate pranayama, brief meditation, and intention-setting to help students feel present, steady, and connected to themselves. My teaching background also includes experience in spin and HIIT-style group fitness, which informs my understanding of strength, endurance, and safe intensity and allows me to thoughtfully integrate strength elements into yoga-based movement when appropriate.

Above all, my goal is to create a supportive, welcoming space where students feel encouraged to show up just as they are. I want students to leave class feeling strong, grounded, and more connected—physically and mentally.

Off the mat, I’m a wife, mom, dog lover, and a big believer in making space for what matters most—whether that’s movement, family, or a quiet moment of breath.

Let’s meet on the mat and grow our practice—together, breath by breath.
