Hello! My name is Cassie and I am a yoga teacher, fitness and wellness coach, and former personal trainer. I am a 200 hour registered yoga teacher and am currently pursuing my 500 hour certification. I am well versed in anatomy, biomechanics, and wellness for stress management and am CPR, AED, and First Aid certified.
Prior to becoming a yoga instructor, I was a Physical Training Instructor (PTI) in the United States Naval Reserve. I created and led HIIT (high intensity interval training), weightlifting, and running workouts as well as developed recovery plans for injured athletes. As a PTI, I also led guided meditations to help lower stress levels and connect client’s breath to their bodies for improved mind muscle connection and, thereby, improved performance.
I am a former athlete with a background in track and field, collegiate rugby, distance running, and powerlifting. Now I predominantly teach group yoga and breath work and pursue weight training and guided HIIT workouts with private clients. My classes focus on proper form and mechanics to prevent injury — my goal is to have people leave my sessions feeling better than how they came in!
Personally, I have suffered my fair share of sports related injuries. From ACL surgery to damaged cartilage, to broken bones, concussions and dislocated shoulders, I know what it feels like to be injured. But, more importantly, I also know what to do to ensure a safe, speedy, and full recovery! These injuries are what led me to yoga and are the reason I am now a yoga instructor. I have found this practice to be the key to pain-free living and my return to other forms of fitness training.
If you are looking for someone energetic and passionate to work with, I am the person for you!
