Having personally experienced the healing power of yoga in my own journey of trauma recovery, I am dedicated to creating a safe and nurturing space for other individuals who have experienced trauma (including those who don’t realize it). I have completed extensive training and education in trauma-informed yoga, including workshops in trauma-sensitive practices, trauma release exercises, and mindfulness-based stress reduction. In trauma-informed yoga teacher training, I had the privilege of learning how to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds who have experienced various forms of trauma, such as domestic violence, sexual assault, anxiety, and depression. I was able to first implement my learnings in my own personal day-to-day routine and I am now ready to share that with others. I am skilled at creating a trauma-sensitive environment that emphasizes choice, empowerment, and self-regulation.
