George Farmer

My name is George Farmer but go by my middle name Alan.  I am a retired high school teacher as of Spring 2020.  I taught business classes for 31 years at Oakville High School in St. Louis Missouri.  During my teaching career I remained active in the tennis world by playing competitively and giving lessons.  Recently I have been coaching at both the high school and collegiate levels.  Last winter I was introduced to pickleball in which I found out I enjoyed and play at a high level with my tennis background.  I spend more time playing pickleball these days at Creve Coeur Racket Club in St. Louis both playing and teaching tennis and pickleball.  I was recently asked to play in an exhibition match with the St. Louis Shock, our professional pickleball team.  

My wife of 34 years, Kari, recently retired and we have been spending our time traveling.  We have traveled to Club Med in the Turks and Caicos in which I helped with tennis clinics and played in an exhibition match for the guests with the club pro.  During our recent trip to Playa del Carmen I met the pickleball instructor who suggested I contact Fit Bodies and inquire about teaching.  I would like to find out more about opportunities that might be available to travel and also share my expertise in tennis and pickleball.
