Alex Brubaker

Alex grew up in Australia and Virginia, and currently lives in Virginia. Once she discovered yoga in grad school in California, she never looked back. An avid practice led to teacher training in beautiful Baja, Mexico, focusing mainly on the Hatha style. Fascinated by the depth and breadth of yoga, she has also studied Yin yoga, yoga anatomy, yoga for equestrians, and Gentle Somatic Yoga^®. She has taught in studio and community settings, and is an experienced leader of group and private retreats. When not on the mat, she can often be found hiking, reading, or on the water. Alex also weaves yoga principles into her practice as an Integrative Health Coach, and deeply values the healing power of time in nature.
