Amber signed up for a 6 week “Intro to Yoga” class back in 2012 at a studio in Iowa where she
lived at the time, in order to learn poses and how to do them properly. She went looking for the
physical benefits, and fell in love with it because of that plus the mental and spiritual benefits
she found by practicing regularly. Her yoga practice continued for a few years (Vinyasa style),
and a voice inside of her kept telling her to look into a yoga teacher training to satisfy the
hunger of wanting to learn as much as possible about ALL of yoga. But then with a move across
state lines, 2 young boys to look after, and helping her husband open their Chiropractic office-
her yoga practice lessened, practicing at home when she could. She found her way back to a
studio in 2019, and it lit a fire inside of her. That voice became much too loud to ignore any
longer, and in November of 2019 Amber obtained her 200-hour Yoga Teacher certificate. She
took the training with the intention on learning more about the practice she loved so dearly,
and found a piece of herself in the meantime. She didn’t intend on teaching, but found pure
joy in bringing yoga to others. When Amber isn’t teaching yoga, she is helping run Restore Life
Chiropractic in Zionsville, hanging out with her kids (i.e. carting them to activities), walking her
favorite child (a Labradoodle, Warren), attending yoga classes, lifting weights, spending time
with family and friends, and/or eating.
Amber’s classes are thoughtfully sequenced, with a focus being on alignment and encouraging
students to listen to their own bodies. She encourages having some fun in her classes and
enjoys finding popular music to add to her yoga playlists! Amber hopes to remind her students
they are strong, loving, forgiving humans who can use that both on and off of their mats
towards themselves and others.
