My journey to become a Pilates instructor started as a whim, a question of 'what if', and 'can I really reinvent myself in my 40's?' Early in my career, I trained and worked as a Registered Massage Therapist for several years. The twists and turns in life eventually saw me put my license on hold (I still hold an inactive RMT license with the province of Ontario), with the intention that I would one day return to practice. Eventually, circumstances allowed for me to refocus on my career. I Knew I wanted to do something in the wellness sphere, but this was my opportunity to shift gears. Without ever having taking an in-person Pilates class, I jumped into teacher training. My background in anatomy helped a lot! I couldn't believe the freedom and confidence I experienced through movement. Now I empower others by coaching them through their own movement journeys toward whatever their goal is, whether that be increased strength, pain management, or aging well.
