Darrell Dotson 59 was born in Little Rock, AR the oldest of 2 siblings with 1 sister, 1 brother and 3 daughters. He attended school at Ole Main High School in North Little Rock and furthered his education at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway.
Darrell come from a family passionate about sports. He enjoyed playing football, basketball, track and road racing motorcycles.
Darrell was introduced to pickleball in the mid 1990’s while employed at War Memorial Center and quickly fell in love with sport. Because of his athletic background, it didn’t take him long to become a force on the court.
Darrell entered his first pickleball tournament in 2012 and won the gold medal in men’s singles. He has won numerous medals since while competing in men’s doubles and mixed doubles.
In 2018, Darrell received a certificate with the Professional Pickleball Registry to teach others to play this wonderful sport. He is also certified though International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association.
With more than 20 years of playing, his passion for the game is higher than ever. Now he wants to introduce the sports to all who have an interest.
