Raised by physically active parents I developed a fond interest in sports. I competed in swimming for years starting at an early age and also in running throughout highschool. Starting a job, getting married and having kids could not hold me back from living and promoting active lifestyle as a Personal Trainer and a Group Fitness Instructor.

In order to be able to reach out to the community I dedicated myself to volunteering at the YMCA of London Fitness Center and also working extensively in the area of group fitness. I started out by earning certifications in Cardio-box, Total Body Conditioning, Aquafit, etc. I favor small group settings where, aside from training, I am able to shape positive interactions with participants. I also find great enjoyment in teaching Pilates, Yoga, Abs & Back, Stability Ball, and Stretching classes. I was assigned to lead the Youth Fitness Club of London where young participants join a program to learn a safe and fun way to a healthy life style. I organized many Ladies Day Out programs where I set up equipment needed and made arrangements for activities promoting fun and fitness for women of all ages. Since the completion of my Posture and the Post-Rehab Client course I have designed a program that concentrates on exercises promoting a healthy back.

I have accepted the invitation from The Running Room, where I host workshops for running/walking teams. I teach the importance of proper warm-up, gradual increase of distance throughout the course of the clinics and sufficient stretches before and after their run. I also teach sport specific movements and offer training advice to improve the runners’ performance.

The opportunity to provide Aquafit classes geared to seniors inspired me to research and study functional water training. This gave me the privilege to be able to improve one’s quality of life through exercise while having fun and building relationships.

Throughout my whole life I’ve been striving to better myself. I am a true believer that ongoing education is vital for the professional development of everyone in the health and fitness industry. I am constantly taking new training courses to stay on the leading edge of fitness. I have recently completed the courses:  “Sport Core Strength” and “Sports Injuries Guide”.

I plan to keep enhancing my proficiency on the job with 100% customer satisfaction in mind.
