Jenny Brunton

I would like to introduce myself as Jennifer D. Brunton. I am a Canadian Citizen with a European Passport. I have been working in England for the last 1.5 years teaching full-time Physical Education, Health and Geography. I am currently in Canada taking some additional qualification courses and working as an on-call teacher. I have completed a Masters of Teaching degree in secondary education (grades 7-12), specializing in Physical Education, Geography and Special Education through Griffith University in Australia. Preceding my Masters degree I obtained my Honours Bachelor of Physical Education/Kinesiology from Brock University in Canada. As a teacher at St. Thomas More High School in the UK, I had the opportunity to use my knowledge of Geography and my travel experience to stimulate students’ imaginations and encourage them to appreciate cultural diversity. I also had the opportunity to regularly adapt the curriculum for students with special needs. In addition to teaching, I have worked as a swimming instructor/lifeguard, aerobics/fitness instructor, outdoor recreation leader, and park supervisor. I have done extensive volunteer work for several organizations helping with young children and teenagers. I feel my experience living in other cultures has contributed to my open mindedness, adventuress and enthusiasm. I am currently registered with the Ontario College of Teachers and the British Columbia College of Teachers in Canada.
