I am a registered Yoga Teacher, Personal Trainer, and Certified Exercise Physiologist. I have a MS in Applied Exercise Science and I full heartily believe in health and wellness. I hope with training and education I can bring a better quality of life to students. The practice of yoga has taught me how to truly be mindful and aware of my body while exercising, and at rest. My mindset has gone from taking every pose to its deepest expression (sometimes forcefully), to letting my breath guide me and find the posture I need on that day. Yoga has given me a sense of balance during times of stress, throughout injuries, and even in times of happiness. I am an avid runner and yoga has provided me with an exercise that I can safely perform throughout my entire life. In my classes you will hear a lot about the breath, alignment, and incorporating mobility exercises. During my studies I have realized how common poor mobility and functionality is, so my goal is to teach in a way that will help others improve on their functionality, while giving them a sense of mindfulness. I started teaching Vinyasa yoga in 2020 and have since taught a variety of classes including Hot Power, Hot Power Basics, Slow Flow, and Yin. Over the past few years I have learned that I really enjoy the slower practices. Yin yoga has become my favorite to teach and practice. I believe yin is the missing piece to our very hectic lives.
I’m looking forward to sharing my knowledge and helping you live a healthy and more functional life.
