Gradiva Ciani

I have 26 years of experience in the yoga field. I was introduced to yoga when I was an athlete for the Argentinian volleyball team and I immediately fell in love with it. While pursuing my degree in law, I started studying yoga with Indra Devi (she was the first western yoga teacher and the most influential woman in the yoga world)  at the Indra Devi Foundation in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

I started teaching yoga in 1998.After graduated from law school and a Master in Corporate law from Buenos Aires University, I moved to Miami to work as a legal Counsel for a hotel chain. I did my first 200 hour teacher training at Synergy Yoga Center ( with Paul Toliuszis) in 2001 followed by many others: Rod Striker (Para yoga), Tias Little (level 1 to 3) Lino Miele (Ashtanga), David Swenson (Ashtanga) Andrey Lappa (Universal Yoga, level 1-3 ). I studied extensively with the following local instructors : Allaine Striklen (Iyengar), Michael Gannon (Astanga), Gahia Budhai, Paul Toliszius, Cameron Shayne (Budokon), Mano Ardisonne. I also got certified as a prenatal and postnatal with baby yoga instructor at Prenatal Plus Yoga, with Debra Geymayr.

In 2004, my husband and I  purchased Breath yoga studio in Aventura, and a year later we opened Ayama Yoga Center, where I worked and taught classes.I worked in many yoga studios in Miami ( Green Monkey, Synergy, Yoga Grove, Prana Yoga) and many gyms and health centers and Spas ( Crunch, Ironworks, Eden Rock, Continnum, La Gorse Club) and also taught classes for teachers at Fienberg Fisher Elementary School.

I am currently a yoga instructor  at Equinox, The Standard Hotel in Miami Beach and I have various private classes.
