LuzMaria Herrera

With more than 20 years of experience in the world of dance and fitness, Luz Maria masters different styles such as classical ballet, jazz, tap and hip hop. She discovered that as a Zumba instructor she could continue enjoying her passion for dance and at the same time help more women comply with their fitness goals and improve their self-esteem.

She is currently running her own studio (Epic Motion High Performance Dance Studio) where she daily teaches Zumba® classes for adults and jazz classes for girls. She has 18 years as a Zumba® instructor (Gold, Aqua, Toning, Kids, Step) and 9 years as a Basic 1 and Zumba® Gold Specialist Educator in Mexico. She is endorsed by AFAA as a group fitness instructor and by Zumba® for Circl Mobility.

Winner of important national contests such as ¨Bailando por México¨ alongside the comedian and actor Omar Chaparro, and international contests such as ¨Body by dance, Nike Rockstar¨. As a dance educator she twice received the Educator Award from the convention, Company Dance. Choreographically she stands out in competitions for jazz groups and with some local artists.

She appears in Zin Vol. 62 and 101, sharing choreography for zin members.

At the moment she teaches 5 times a week regular Zumba class and twice a week a Zumba toning class. At weekends she travels to teach her Zumba Trainings and really enjoys to be a zumba instructor in any of its forms.

Her fitness goal is to continue empowering students at her daily class and to travel the world sharing happines and wellbeing through Zumba.
