- Ali Duchesne
Ali has been practicing yoga for over 20 years, since she fell in love with the Ashtanga practice as a college student in Vermont. Teaching since 2017, Ali believes in holding space for her students to become completely in touch with their authentic selves, however they may be at any given moment, free from the binds of story or reactivity. This practice is a pathway to complete self-acceptance, self-love and self-trust, requiring dedication, compassion, endurance, humbleness, and a willingness to look at the unexplored places within our own hearts.
Ali’s classes have been described as empowering, soulful, challenging, fun, and deeply healing. She enjoys exploring yoga as a metaphor for life and incorporating her passion for multi-disciplinary learning into her classes. She has experience teaching power, all-levels, foundational, gentle, restorative and family yoga and holds additional certifications in children’s yoga, Trauma Informed Yoga, Reiki I, and Reiki II. Ali especially enjoys her work as a yoga teaching mentor. As the co-founder and co-owner of Be Wild Yoga, Ali helped build a community based on inclusivity, self-exploration, and compassionate empowerment. Ali is YA-RYT-200 and is a YA-CEP.
Growing up an Air Force kid, Ali has called four countries and five U.S. states home, and currently resides with her family in Connecticut. She holds a BA from Middlebury College and a JD from UCONN Law. Ali enjoys baking with sourdough, reading, hiking, gardening, neuropsychology, embroidery, sociology, working with crystals, and spending time with her family, including her husband, 3 kids, and their Bernedoodle, Toby.
