Ruth Ann began her interest in yoga in high school when she signed up for a weekly beginner course. She was immediately drawn to its ability to calm her mind, strengthen her body, and connect to her inner self. She has loved studying and practicing over the years, and is passionate about sharing yoga’s benefits with others.
Ruth Ann brings a positive and supportive energy to her classes. She believes strongly that yoga is for everyone and strives to create an inclusive space for students to learn and explore their practice. Ruth Ann integrates themes, mindfulness, pranayama, meditation, and a connection to nature into her classes to help students cultivate a connection with their minds and bodies.
Ruth Ann has a 200 hour YTT certification and Children’s Yoga certificate. She teaches weekly classes in her hometown of Walton and also for the staff at the school district she teaches in. Outside of yoga practice, Ruth Ann enjoys spending time in nature, photography, reading, and crocheting.
