Hi, I’m Sarah. I am a Yoga, meditation, + movement teacher, E-RYT 500 + Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP), specializing in Yin, Restorative, and Somatic Yoga + meditation.
For over six years I’ve been teaching people to slow down and surrender inward as a path to healing, self-love and connection. Like many, I struggled to relax and slow down, and was in constant search of something that would make me feel less detached from myself. I often felt exhausted, burned out, overworked, and overstimulated.
After several years of struggling with my physical health, with no diagnosis, I realized I needed to take a deep look at who I was and how I took up space in the world. It was through the depths of Somatics, Yoga and meditation (in addition to modalities like talk therapy) that I began my journey of healing myself from the inside out. I began taking responsibility for how I showed up for myself, and my constant need to stay busy to escape feelings of discomfort were replaced by feelings of softness and acceptance. In slowing down, I began leaning into the present moment, meeting all parts of myself deeply and with compassion. By connecting with myself, I learned how to show up for and connect with others in a more meaningful way, too. This was just a beginning. I believe a path towards healing, returning home to ourselves, and living an embodied life, never ends. It’s a journey I continue on to this day.
I’ve spent almost 20 years practicing Yoga and meditation, and after being certified to teach Yoga in 2018, I completed additional certifications in Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Somatics, meditation, as well as my E-RYT 500. In 2024, I began my Masters Degree (MS) in Clinical Counseling specializing in Somatic Therapy, with an anticipated graduation date of 2026.
I currently offer classes, private sessions, workshops, trainings, and retreats that focus on the joys of slowing down, incorporating a deep knowledge of Taoism, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Yin Spirituality, and Somatics. My offerings are focused on self-discovery and designed to cultivate an inner wisdom that empowers us to live an embodied life rooted in trust, authenticity, self-love, and self-acceptance. Every practice, container, and community I help to create is built on a foundation of inclusivity, belonging, and accessibility, meeting students wherever they are in their journey of coming home to themselves.
