As a child gymnast and dancer I shared my love of dance starting in college as an aerobic dance teacher . Dance remains a large part of my life from participating in hip hop classes to dance jam classes while also enjoying the physical activities of rollerblading and paddleboarding. In 2017 I discovered a true love for yoga. As a licensed social worker/therapist yoga has been crucial to my clients using the breathing techniques to center themselves and find their calm in their breath. I have also incorporated my love for paddleboarding with yoga.
As a certified yoga instructor I bring a fusion of traditional and modern practices to my practice. I offer free classes in a loving and supportive environment where everyone feels welcomed. As a therapist I bring a deep understanding of emotional trauma and the acceptance to meet the student where they are in their journey.
My teaching style is one in which a nurturing and inclusive space is provided for all levels and ages where they can explore the depth of their practice. I blend mindful movement, breath awareness, and meditation to cultivate a holistic experience which extends beyond the mat.
Yoga is not just a physical exercise; it is a journey of self-love and acceptance with growth. I empower my students to embrace their uniqueness, and to find the union between mind, body spirit and breath. If one is breathing with intention one is practicing yoga.
I believe yoga should be free and available for all people of all ages. it is why I actively promote free classes in my community. By doing this we are creating a space where everyone can feel safe and supported.
