- Julia Gore
Julia was introduced to yoga while in high school by her mother, from that point forward yoga spoke to her. Over the years, Julia practiced many styles of yoga including Bikram, Bapiste Power Yoga, Kundalini, Kripalu, Iyengar, Vinyasa Flow, Yoga Sculpt, Yoga HIIT, Restorative, Yin & Yoga Nidra.
Living in Colorado an avid skier, mountain biker, hiker and runner, a yoga studio opened minutes from her home, she began to practice regularly but it wasn’t until the studio introduced Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga that she was hooked! Each class left her feeling detoxified, renewed and yearning for the journey to continue. As 2006 came to a close, life’s challenges became destabilizing, and as often is the case, intuition took control and amongst the turmoil Julia embarked on yoga teacher training in early 2007. In training she found solace, direction, community, peace, spirituality and ultimately her dharma. An E-RYT 500 Julia received her first teaching certification in 2007.
Since 2007, Julia has continued her journey while working for CorePower Yoga she trained in Yoga Sculpt, Hot Power Yoga in addition to teaching beginner and advanced Power Yoga classes. Julia has attended workshops and conferences with Janet Stone, Shiva Rea, Seane Corne, Desiree Rumbaugh, Tias Little, Ana Forrest, Kathryn Budig, Rolf Gates, Bryan Kest, Leslie Kaminoff, Gina Caputo, Tiffany Cruikshank and Sadie Nardini. Other certifications include Trauma Informed Yoga, Corporate Yoga, Rainbow Kids Yoga, Yoga as Medicine.
In 2017, Julia opened Destination Yoga, The Journey to Self, in Grant Park Illinois and Julia traveled to Rishikesh, India to complete her 500 hour training with the Association of Yoga & Meditation.
Sharing the gift of yoga with students, friends & family has become her bliss. Julia enjoys creating classes that are physically challenging but allow for creativity, playfulness and fun while stimulating your desire to be true to yourself on your mat and in your life.
