Marie-Pierre Gendron

Hello :)

My name is Marie-Pierre Gendron and I come from Québec, Canada. I speak french and english. I'm about to turn 50 ( June 22nd) and I am a single mother of two children (12 /19). Since a very young age, I have always been very attracted to physical activity! The sports I practiced the most are gymnastic, competitive alpine skiing and soccer.  I continue to train for running and road cycling and I play tennis a lot.

My interest in sport eventually led me to obtain a degree in physical education (kinesiology) from Université de Montréal in 1999.  (I also got a certificate in psychology from Université de Montréal.) At the end of my studies, I worked as an educator in a sports daycare with groups of 4 year old children. Then I did my training to become a Pilates instructor and  was certified by Ann McMillan Pilates as well as Polestar Education to work in physical training and rehabilitation through Pilates, on floor and on apparatus, in groups or in private.  I worked at Ann McMillan Pilates studio, at Canadian army military base, at Université de Montréal and at Clinique de Réadaption Physique du Roussillon (physio clinic). I am now self-employed and I am extremely fortunate to be able to have this career that I am so passionate about!  When I teach Pilates, I simply lose track of time because I am so committed to helping people feel better! 

When I was 15,  I wrote in a homework that my dream career, when I grew up, was to become a tennis instructor in a resort ! It was with sadness that I saw my teacher burst out laughing while reading my work... I remember this moment as if it happened yesterday but as you can see, I did not let myself be negatively influenced and I made my way, in Pilates instead of tennis, which is why I am writing to you at the moment! Yeahhh!  I love working with people and kindness is my priority.  My connection with them allows me to make learning Pilates like a game where we ultimately have a lot of fun! 

Other than that, I love traveling, discovering new environments and new cultures and I feel ready for little adventures!

For all these reasons, I believe it would be wonderful for you and me if I were part of your team!
