Alexis Powell

My name is Alexis Powell and I have been a personal trainer and group fitness instructor for 5 years. My passion ignited from my own fitness journey in 2019. Prior to gaining experience in the gym, I graduated from Kean University with a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education(fitness and wellness concentration). I had no idea what I wanted to do with my degree until I found my own reasons for taking my health seriously. After losing 15 pounds with my personal trainer, I was interested in getting my personal training certification to help others like myself. Fast forward 6 months later, I started my journey getting into the fitness industry. I had the opportunity to work for Edge Fitness as a front desk consultant working in sales and learning how to conduct fitness assessments. From there I had coached at some of the best studios and gyms in the New Jersey and Philadelphia areas. My first big break was at Retro Fitness, where I held 1-1 training, group fitness HIIT, and group strength and conditioning classes. I then moved onto City Fitness where I was a group coach for their Thrive personal training program created by Michael Boyle(MBSC). While transitioning between both gyms, I was and still am a part time coach at F45 training. After coaching for 2 years, I decided I wanted a change, and became a Personal Training Manager at Crunch Fitness and LA Fitness. As you can see I have had my hand in quite a few areas of fitness. I really love to help people see the importance of putting their health first and enjoy seeing clientele really make fitness and nutrition a lifestyle.
