Megan Peters

Hello!

My name is Megan and I am a yoga and fitness lover. I am a dual citizen (American + Australian) and currently live in San Diego, California with my husband, toddler and golden retriever. I am a warm, friendly, fun-loving person that likes to keep my classes fun, educational and light. I don’t take myself too seriously, and enjoy adding music to complement my classes, and teach students to be present and enjoy themselves while on their yoga mat or in a fitness class. I pride myself on teaching proper fundamentals through alignment cueing to prioritize safety and eliminate injury. As a former athlete who had many injuries along the way, I’ve found that yoga can be a wonderful part of a wellness routine to build strength and prevent injury, mentally and spiritually.

I am a studio owner and movement instructor. I own a studio in Oceanside, CA (a coastal suburb of San Diego) called Surf Salutations that offers Power Vinyasa, Slow Flow, Yin, and Yoga Sculpt along with strength training (HIIT). I am certified to teach all of these modalities including Group Fitness/Strength and Conditioning. My husband is also a Group Fitness Instructor and one of the instructors actively teaching at the studio, who will be my travel companion.

I have lived and taught in both Australia and America, operating classes, workshops and retreats, in addition to teaching regular classes at studios in both countries. I can only teach classes in English.
