Victoria Poroj-Vides

My name is Victoria Poroj-Vides, and I love music! I am a Guatemalan American woman from Fort Myers, Florida, living in Raeford, North Carolina. I have been an active-duty Army Soldier for 15 years and am also an active member of the social dancing world. I love sports and staying active. I also love traveling, meeting new people, making great connections, and dancing—and if I can do all of these at the same time, even better! I have been dancing since I was 15 years old. I learned to dance growing up in Fort Myers and Miami, Florida. Most of my dance experience has been Latin-style dances such as Bachata, Salsa, Cumbia, Merengue, Reggaeton, and Cha-Cha. Last year, I started learning Kizomba, a dance from Angola, South Africa, to expand my dance skills further. I have taken several other dance classes with various dance studios for various genres throughout my time dancing. I also teach multiple styles of Latin dancing and am an active Latin Social Dancer in the Fayetteville/Raleigh/Charlotte Community. All of this is to say I LOVE dancing.

This year, I expanded my dancing experience by diving into the Zumba dance community! I recently became a Zumba in March of 2024 and became certified in Zumba, Zumba Gold, Zumba Aqua Certified Instructor. I am currently enrolled in Zumba CIRCL and will have finished with it by end of June. I plan to continue sharing my love for dance and spreading joy and happiness with all I can influence!
