Trena Winans

Trena Winans is Director of Education and Outreach at Senior Services where she oversees a department that manages educational programming, fitness classes, volunteer management, regular health clinics, and marketing efforts including publication of a monthly newspaper, website, print, and social media management. She is a Master Trainer in evidence-based classes in diabetes, chronic pain, balance, and caregiving and is a certified group fitness instructor. She teaches Zumba, Zumba Gold and Gold Toning classes. Previously she spent 12 years as the Curator of Education for the Midland County Historical Society. She holds a BA in History Secondary Education from Western Michigan University. Trena is a very active volunteer for the MCFTA in theatrical productions and was the 2013, 2014, and 2023 recipient of the Florence Slagh Curtain Call Award for Outstanding Performance in a Leading Role in a Play.

Trena loves to dance!!! She first began dancing as a child and never stopped! Zumba lets her take that love and share it with people near and far. There is nothing like the great mix of Latin and World music combined with heart-pumping dance fitness choreography to make you smile while you work on your fitness.
