Melody Vallerand

Melody and François Vallerand are a husband and wife dance couple who have been dancing together since 2001. They have been coached by former Canadian Standard Champions Roger & Moira Hollingsworth. They have received Gold Medal Certification from the Canadian Ballroom Dance Teachers Association for their level of proficiency. They taught for 3 years for the London Ballroom Dance Club, 15 years for the Tillsonburg Community Centre, 2 years for the Ingersoll Community Centre. They currently teach Latin and Ballroom group sessions in Kitchener and private sessions in their home studio in Shakespeare. Recently, François and Melody appeared as dancers in the movie “RED”, as dancers in an episode of the TV show “Covert Affairs”, and were part of the cast of the Waterloo “Dancing with the Stars Show” to raise money for HopeSprings Cancer Center in Kitchener. By day François works as the General Manager for Golden Valley Farms in Arthur and Melody is now semi-retired, teaching Line Dance at the Stratford YMCA. Dancing, however, remains their passion.
