Kerry Mueller

For three decades, yoga was a way for me to support personal athletic goals, such as running three marathons. It was not until the Covid pandemic that I turned to yoga and meditation as a coping skill and way of life.

In 2020, I completed 8-weeks of MBSR training through the Mindfulness Center at Brown University. To deepen my practice, I took my training a step further by successfully completing a 5-day Silent Retreat with the same organization.

Breathe for Change, an organization offering 200-hour yoga teacher certifications, taught me how to turn my passion for yoga and meditation into something that I could share with youth and staff at the school where I work as a School Social Worker.
The new skills that I offer to staff and students through weekly classes, professional development, and during individual and group counseling sessions, have had a tremendous, positive impact at Annapolis High School.

Seeking more practitioners to share my yoga practice with, I began offering weekly 60-minute vinyasa flow classes in my community.  I now have a regular following of more than thirty neighbors.

In both settings, I believe that the yoga and meditation that I share has brought more gifts to me than I give them. Yoga has helped me build communities of  healthy-minded individuals who are curious about the power of these practices.

I continue to improve my skills as a yoga teacher by working on my 300-hour certification with Pranakriya, a program I plan to complete in 2025.

In the meantime, I am very interested in offering my yoga classes to children and adults at resorts around the world. As a young stay-at-home mother, I had the opportunity to vacation at Club Meds where I reaped the benefits of quality time with my husband and time for self-care while my children went to Kids Clubs where they also had enriching experiences. Now with an empty nest, Iendorsement by Fit Bodies is a great opportunity to combine my love of travel with my passion for yoga, mindfulness, and wellness!
