Christian Ryan

Dr. Christian is a Career Coach and 200 hour Registered Yoga Teach and 95 hour Registered Children's Yoga Teacher. She lives in the lower 9th Ward of New Orleans with her dog, Winter. Christian teaches yoga in affiliation with the non-profit, YEAH! Yoga. YEAH! (Youth Empowerment and Healing) Yoga provides healing informed yoga for at-risk youth in the New Orleans area, and particularly those impacted by the carceral system. Students include those who are in the juvenile justice system or who have a caregiver who is incarcerated. Christian embraces New Orleans life to the fullest, participating in a Mardi Gras krewe, the Krewe des Fleurs, who create elaborate flower costumes for parades, local events, and charitable activities. She is a runner, and runs with her dog on the Mississippi River levee every morning; a foodie, enjoying all vegetarian and local sustainable seafood that New Orleans has to offer; and while not a musician herself, has a deep appreciation for a city in which music can be heard any place, any time. When not teaching yoga, career coaching, playing with Winter, eating, dancing, or parading down the route with the Krewe des Fleurs, she is reading or gardening.
