Hi! My name is Annette. I have been teaching yoga since 2020 primarily in my own little studio in Woodstock Ontario. I enjoy teaching group classes, private classes and community classes. I have also offered several yoga workshops where I focus on specific common areas of pain and or body discomforts offering students the knowledge and tools to enable them to live as pain free as possible. I have completed two CYA 200 yoga teacher trainings. My first training was completed over the 2019-2020 winter where I fell in love with yoga as a way of living. In 2022 I devoted time to an additional 200hr training to gain a deeper connection to yoga, completed over the winter of 2021-2022.
Although my heart is in tradition hatha teachings I also enjoy teaching a slow flow, Yin yoga and a gentle or restorative class. Meditation is a component of CYA 200 training, as such I am skilled at leading meaningful mediation sessions.
I am also a certified massage therapist 2011 to present, licensed by the CMTO. I operate a full-time practise in my own clinic, Balance Massage & Wellness. Through the experience and knowledge gained in my massage therapy career and my yoga training I have a unique ability to quickly assess posture and the physical structure and adapt a class to the needs of the student(s).
