I am a recently retired (June 2024) intermediate school teacher. I am a proud Mom of two amazing children, ages 19 and 22. At present, I want a fresh start in life doing something I love and enjoy. I have experience as a personal trainer, I’ve also instructed group classes, and developed programs for individuals. From 2013 - 2019, I competed in bikini competitions and placed every year from 1st to 3rd place. My seven years as an officer in the Canadian Army reserves also taught and encouraged me to be resilient, motivated, and strong in every way possible. Currently, I stay active through cardio such as walking and hiking, I strength train 4 - 5 times a week, and have fallen in love with yoga. As a mature woman, I believe in the power of fitness to elevate mental, physical, and social health. I am a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor through ISSA. I would like to help mature individuals enjoy their fitness journey and help foster positive attitudes around health and fitness. Nutrition and exercise are two key components of being healthy and fit, I would love to teach other people the knowledge I have gained since I started my fitness goals over 35 years ago. I truly believe being active and healthy is the key to being happy and enjoying life to the fullest!
