I started to practice yoga in 2008 and started to teach in 2010. I quickly found out that yoga practice benefited more than my body, but also my soul, mind, and heart~ I have maintained my practice over the years because I believe it is a necessity for me to be a student first to be an effective teacher. I currently practice hot power/slow flow yoga in a mindful and embodied way about 4-5 times a week. I have taken over 1600 classes since 2013 at a local studio.
In my journey of life and yoga, I came to appreciate the importance of facilitating yoga practice that is neurologically sound so that people would experience a deeper healing and wellbeing. This is partly because I am a fully licensed relational Complex Trauma Healing Specialist (LMSW, CAADC, EMDR Certified, AEDP Level 1) who provides mind body soul care through specialized EMDR and other experiential attachment wound healing modality. I facilitate and interact with my students and clients in the way they feel seen and heard and valued. This is very important to me. I treat each yoga class as an opportunity to connect. An element of playfulness and compassion in action is always in my classes~
I also enjoy group facilitation such as women's yoga retreat, polyvagal based yoga workshop, polyvagal application training for yoga teachers, silent yoga meditation retreat, and other spiritual retreat.
