Haley Bednar

I am a dedicated fitness professional and entrepreneur based in Brookings, SD. I received a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from South Dakota State in 2017, then a Master's degree in Exercise Science from Concordia St. Paul in 2019. I am also a certified Exercise Physiologist through ACSM. My current certification allows me to teach various types of fitness classes from mobility to HIIT to small-group training.

My passion for fitness started in 2012 when I was introduced to weightlifting and eventually led to competing in bodybuilding competitions in 2015 & 2016. I hung up the stage suit, but my passion for weightlifting and fitness still holds strong today. Although not certified in yoga yet, I pursued yoga and acro-yoga from 2016 to 2018 as a personal fitness venture.

Professionally, I own and operate a successful 3-store GNC franchise, where I am able to engage customers in achieving their health, wellness, and fitness goals. Previously, I worked as a personal trainer at Snap Fitness from 2016-2019 and have since offered private personal training on occasion. Beyond fitness, I enjoying going out to the movies, spending quality time with my husband, and of course, traveling!
