I have a passion for Fitness!!
Growing up in the suburbs near Toronto, I had early success playing soccer and doing martial arts as a kid. As a teen I began taking martial arts more seriously and achieved my black belt at the age of 16. I also began playing soccer more competitively and played in a provincial league; travelling to tournaments all over the United States and England. In my early 20's I recieved an Honours Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology from York University and then went on to get a second degree from Ryerson University in Nutrition and Food. Shortly after graduating from Kinesiology I began working as a personal trainer with a local Toronto Company named Extreme Fitness.
During that time I was awarded trainer of the year out of over 100 personal trainers. Shortly after this the company was purchased by Goodlife Fitness and I was promoted to Director of Health Centre Operations with Goodlife Fitness.
After working in sales and marketing I realised my passion was in fitness and began teaching again as a Group Fitness Instructor with North End Fitness. There I currently teach a Power Circuit Class and lead Small Group Training sessions to sports teams as well as adults looking to get in shape.
I believe fitness comes with creating a consistent habit and by combining proper nutrition with physical exercise and ample amounts of cardiovascular exercise. I focus on motivating people to stay in the right mindset to keep active daily in today's busy yet sedentary lifestyle.
